1. PDFs processed in your browser
The PDF size tool processes your selected file locally in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to our server for processing. The browser needs access to the selected file to perform the operation and create a downloadable result.
File processing runs entirely within active browser memory. Selected documents and generated output files are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2. Website visit information
Browser-only PDF processing does not mean that visiting the website creates no data. Loading pages sends technical requests to our hosting and delivery services, which may include your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time.
This technical access data is processed by web hosting and content delivery network providers for routing, uptime maintenance, and security defense.
3. Information you send us
If you email us or use an enabled contact channel, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address, optional name and message. We use it to respond, investigate reported issues and handle requests. Please avoid sending sensitive documents.
4. Cookies, analytics, and telemetry services
We do not transmit your PDF files to perform browser-based resizing. Core file resizing runs entirely in client-side memory and does not require tracking cookies.
Cloudflare Web Analytics: Our delivery and security network, Cloudflare, serves a privacy-first performance measurement script (beacon.min.js). This script measures website availability and Core Web Vitals (such as page load speed, DNS timing, country-level aggregate traffic, and general browser/device types) to help us maintain website uptime and performance.
Distinction from PDF processing: The Cloudflare telemetry beacon collects strictly anonymous website performance metrics. It does not set persistent tracking cookies, does not build user profiles, and does not track users across websites. Most importantly, it has no access to your PDF documents. Document bytes, extracted text, and sensitive file names are processed solely in local browser memory and are never transmitted to Cloudflare telemetry or any remote server.
5. Use and disclosure of information
We use the information described above to provide the website, respond to messages, diagnose problems, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations. Service providers may process information for those purposes. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect legal rights.
6. Retention and security
Retention depends on the type of information and the purposes explained above. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, browser or communication channel can guarantee complete security.
7. Your choices and requests
You can choose not to send a contact message and can manage browser storage and cookies through your browser settings. Where consent controls are provided, you can use them to change your choices. You may contact us about access, correction, deletion or other rights available under the law applicable to you. Some requests may be subject to verification or lawful exceptions.
8. Children
Increase PDF Size is an online utility intended for general audiences who need to resize documents. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children.
9. International processing
Because PDF manipulation occurs locally within your web browser, document contents remain on your device. General website delivery requests are handled through standard distributed web hosting infrastructure.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise this policy when our practices change. The updated version will show its revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for relevant changes.
